Buffet style eating with many characters to visit with. The buffet changes frequently *When David & I ate here on our last
trip, we had a great time! I was able to get autographs from Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Donald & Daisy. From
what I hear, Daisy’s autograph is a difficult one to get in the parks. The food was pretty good for being buffet style. I’m
not too wild about serving myself, but the atmosphere more than made up for it. This restaurant is on my list for our return
        trip in 2001
   Concourse Steakhouse* $$-$$$
Offering breakfast, lunch & dinner, the concourse is within view of Chef Mickey’s*We had a nice steak dinner here on
our trip in ’98. It was a good dinner, but in my opinion, a little pricey. Normally, I don’t really pay attention to the price,
but I guess I didn’t feel the prices met the quality of the food. Besides, I was too busy watching all the fun going on over
at Chef Mickey’s to really concentrate on the Concourse. The seating was kinda weird. It’s like we were right in the
middle of the lobby area of that floor. No walls surrounding the seating area. It was weird. Good restaurant, but I don’t

        cool is that?
   Victoria & Albert’s $$$$$
This is THE restaurant, not only of the Grand Floridian, but of all of Walt Disney World! Men must be in jackets, ladies in
dressy clothes. All of the host or hostesses are named Victoria or Albert. The ladies receive a long stemmed rose & as a

a magician*David & I ate here on our last trip. I was excited because of the descriptions I had read, I expected forks the
size of grill brushes & cups the size of pitchers. I was a little disappointed. The food was ok. If you have a package that
includes dining, you can not use it here. Not as of yet anyway. Remember, the Swan & Dolphin are not Disney owned
hotels, so any Disney package you have is not honored at this time. We did check with our hostess & she said it was
something they would be doing in the near future. We will keep an eye on that. It was an ok dinner, but I probably won’t
        rush right over there again

Located between the Yacht & Beach Club, this is THE BEST spot for ice cream! If you dare, try to order the kitchen
sink (feeds 8)*we have gone here twice now & thoroughly enjoy ourselves each time. The service is great & the ice
cream really hits the spot! Each time, we have watched the Epcot fireworks from the bridge at the International Gateway
& then instead of fighting the crowds to rush back to our resort, we walked over to Beaches & Cream. We were able to
enjoy our ice cream & then make it back to our resort without fighting any crowds. We will definitely keep going back!

Dinner Shows
$ = inexpensive  $$ = moderate  $$$ = expensive
   Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue*
I have been to this dinner show twice & have really enjoyed myself both times. I already have reservations for our 2001
trip. I am very excited about taking my family to something that I know they will enjoy. Located at Pioneer Hall at Fort
Wilderness, you can enjoy barbecued ribs, fried chicken, corn & strawberry shortcake for dessert! Dinner is served in
metal buckets – to give you that eating at the camp feel. My sister in law asked for a glass of wine & it was served to her
in a Mason jar. A full Mason jar. She really enjoyed that wine! The show going on all around you is just amazing.
Sometimes you forget to eat you are having such a good time listening to the singers. You can tell that this troupe really
enjoys their job. The show is presented nightly at 5pm, 7:15pm & 9:30pm. Cost is $38 per adult & $19.50 per children
3-11 years old. It is suggested that you make your reservations up to 2 years in advance & I highly suggest this. It doesn’t
necessarily have to be 2 years, but if you want to see this show, it’s best to make them as soon as you have decided. I
will definitely continue going back to enjoy this!
   All American Backyard Barbecue
This is also at Fort Wilderness. Disney characters & a country band help you get out & kick up your heels on the dance
floor. The dinner consists of barbecued ribs & chicken, corn on the cob & baked beans. Dinner costs $37 per adult &
$25 per children including tax & tip.
   Mickey’s Tropical Luau
Presented at the Polynesian daily, this is generally geared toward the younger crowd. Characters in traditional costume
join the Polynesian performers for a nice show. A complete dinner with dessert is $33 for adults & $16 for children
   Polynesian Luau
Also at the Polynesian, this dinner is presented nightly at 6:45pm & 9:30pm. All of the dancers have been schooled at the
Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii, so the show you will see will be almost like you were in Hawaii yourself! A full
Polynesian meal, including roasted chicken, spareribs & dessert will cost $38 for adults & $19.50 for children
